New Heights staff are expert trip leaders and can work with school staff to design expeditions that incorporate service learning or academic components worthy of academic credit. For example, students have hiked and worked with Zion National Park Rangers on much-needed service projects and researched adaptations of fauna while kayaking the Channel Islands off the coast of California.
Working well in groups requires focus under pressure, effective problem solving, conflict resolution, empathy, respect and clear communication. New Heights staff will meet with you to plan objectives, outcomes and design specific activities for your school- based or adult group. Team building activities often include high ropes course challenges, rock wall climbing, visual arts activities, creative writing, and complex problem solving games.

For over twenty years, New Heights has been collaborating with Portsmouth High School on a student- led community service program. We are pleased to add several new components designed to inspire students to be catalysts for positive change and become the community leaders of the future.
